Craig, If I may interject, Wayne Cole never said that ICD was deceptive nor that anyone at ICD ever said that FFV will display the two ECS Denise modes. What he said was that the use of the term "compatible" lead him to believe that it would process the new modes. I and other users thought the same thing. So even if it was a misunderstanding on our part, now that you've been alerted to it, I hope you don't continue to advertise FFV as compatible with ECS Denise in the future. Even if technically correct, it tends to mislead users, and its continued use in the future would tend to be deceptive. You should specifically state that you can continue to use FFV with ECS Denise for the old graphics modes (that's the compatibility part), but that FFV will NOT process the new graphics modes. That is, if FFV was not installled, you could use the new modes with a multisync monitor. It is the presence of FFV that prohibits their use. Since, as you mentioned, the new modes may not be that helpful, then there should be no harm in the fact that FFV won't let you use them. You should make that fact clear in your advertising and tech support. I had the same misunderstanding concerning the flickerFixer, which I own. In that instance I already owned the FF, when I was told it was "compatible" with ECS Denise. So I bought the chip, only to discover that I couldn't use the new modes. So it's not just a question of people buying your product after they get ECS Denise. In my case, I bought the chip after I owned the FF. The chip is virtually useless to me and I only bought it because of the "compatibility" misunderstanding. Hopefully, you'll be clearer in the future and help to educate the uninitiated.
