Nancy, I don't know if you meant what you wrote. The installer deletes files on the master disks, then replaces with new ones. However, I had a terrible problem with soft disk errors. I must have tried the installation 10 times, but at some point disk errors would leave the installation in limbo with warm boot the only way out. I finally ended up with my master disks totally garbaged. I couldn't even install onto a newly formatted set of blank disks. Eventually, I just dearchived the files and copied them onto the hard drive manually. Indeed the update procedure is flawed. I just got my upgrade today, but I plan to notify Inovatronics and suggest they arrive at an alternative strategy, unless my case was unusual. At this point I have a working new version on the hard drive, but I no longer have any master disks.
