John, Well, I can't say my updating went quietly. I eventually just copied files from the decompressed archives on the update disk. My original diskettes are no longer viable, but I do have 1.6 running successfully on the hard drive. I, too, got the flyer about the auto update program, but haven't decided yet to return it. I don't know any more about it than you, if your source is the same as mine, the flyer that came with the update. I am hoping to see a later version with a major change in the interface which might make scripting a lot easier to do. I hate the constant switching back and forth as I try to keep track of everything. I would really prefer a more programming-like environment, but I realize there are definite tradeoffs to provide the ease of development which CanDo implements. Perhaps if it had a multi-window environment with one window for the code development and another for the object manipulation, and yet another to test the script for debugging. Well, obviously there are a multitude of ways to do it, and no one way will make everyone happy, I know that. It's still the best of it's sort in the market. Nothing else short of ARexx with rexxarplib can provide such an easy program development which is virtually complete in almost every way, short of the oddball way of having more than one window open at a time! And to think, the PC world is so excited about Visual Basic and Windows!!
