I saw the tape of Rundgren's talk at Siggraph. Some of his criticisms were
justified. But I think much of his problem was due to his taking on a
*major* project on a platform which was new to him. I also got the
impression by reading between the lines that he ran into a known bug in the
firmware of the 2091 HD controller. He was also running under a deadline,
over the holiday season and was unable to find an experienced Amigan to act
as 'guru'. BTW, that was 11 Amigas and 10 Toasters. One for object modeling
and 10 for rendering. Add to that, the Toaster software was still in Beta
stage then….. Impressive results though.
