#Here comes the Mac III
Hi,
Just wondering what everyone (anyone?) is thinking about the upcoming Mac
III's. These new Apples are due this summer, and the preliminaries sound
impressive.
I've heard: '040 based machines, optimized accelerated graphics, DSP (with
audio in/out and modem/fax connections), NTSC/S-VHS in/out, multi-voice sound
(from the DSP), etc…these machines are meant to be "multimedia killers".
Is this the reason behind the DSP for the Amiga? Will CBM finally be
threatened by another platform (and I mean, feel threatened, whether they are
actually menaced or not)? Anyone have any answer to these and other questions?
