Benjamin–
Actually, right now, it does not go a lot deeper than simply using your PC
for remote control. You are running the Amiga/Toaster combo using a remote
control panel, under Windows.
Of course, if the PC were doing something else, like running
editing software, and simply triggering the Toaster for effects during an
A/B roll, I could see it. However, there is no editing software that I am
aware of that works under Windows…and I doubt that Windows could handle
these two tasks (editing and Toaster control) at the same time…it fairly
chokes on any serial task.
Since you can edit and Toast on one Amiga using multitasking, why
not keep it on the Amiga? What advantage is there to using the PC version
of the Toaster? It seems to me like driving your Ferrari…by towing it
from a tow truck. There is no advantage to doing so.
