new FFS?
I was told that the new 3.0 OS has a different file system, that uses a
`directory caching' method. Is this true? Is it compatible with any of
the old file systems? How much faster is this than the FFS used with
2.04? Is htis a bunch of bull I heard and nothing has changed?
From what I have gathered here (CI$) is the only diffs in 3.x and 2.x
is the datatypes modules and the AGA specific stuff, is this another
feature that all us nonAGA users should clamour to C=, to release 3.x for
the rest of us? As you can see I am full of ??? and really would like to
know what differences there are between 2.x and 3.x.
