Dear Mark: I recently installed a T128 card into my system using QEMM. Iwas difficu to establish compatability with my system (Gateway 2000 486DX2-66) and avoid conflicts with the video and modem cards and access the CDROM drive while using Norton Desktop for Windows 2.0. My initial conversations with NEC and Quaterdeck (Makers of QEMM) suggested that I exclude the memory address of the T128 card form the QEMM programs ability to accidently write over the areas during system boot up. This solved the problem and made everything compatable. I would suggest that you modify your config.sys line one to read: " device=c:\qemm\qemm386.sys RAM x=cc00-cdff dB=10" The "x=cc00-cdff" statement will protect the default (assuming you haven't changed the DIP switches on the T-128 card) addresses the T-128 uses. The "db=10" statement allocates 10 disk buffers within QEMM that will speed up CDROM access. With regard to the issue of loading everything high in you config.sys and autoexec.bat files, I discovered that the MSCDEX in the autoexec.bat file gives fastest CDROM disk performance if it is loaded "low" ( or without the loadhi commands). I have gained great respect for the task of adding hardware to a computer system- it can take weeks to get it to run correctly. regards, brian
