Do you have the latest drivers for the PAS16? It sounds as if not all your
drivers are properly configured in the Control Panel settings. I have a
PAS16/NEC in one of the systems here and it plays both Comptons and the
Beethoven disk just fine.
If all else is right, you might have a conflict, either an interrupt or a
DMA channel that's blocked by being already in use by something else.
