I've had a cdrom drive for 4 years now and have been looking for a portable
drive I could carry around with me. The NEC portable has been around $800 which
is too pricey. I noticed in the Tiger Catalog a Sony CDROM Player which you can
hook up to a tv and play MMCD compatible disks; for retail $ 999. I'm wondering
if this can hook up to a coputer also for printing or for saving the data in
text format. Also wonder if it coudl read my earlier than MMCD disks that I got
when I bought my first cdrom from Compuadd; came with dictionary, etc. Is there
a cdrom device which is portable -battery powered – that does what I want?
