Gary, I too expierienced the timeout problem with quickB & TERM3.1, I think it has to do with the quickB protocol because you'll notice that the timeouts occur when the buffer gets filled and written to the HD. When you're HD light blinks suddenly you're Recieved light on the modem stops blinking, then you register 2 timeouts. Pretty irritating eh? Try this… from the main screen ( not from the phonebook) select menu/settings/Transfer… when QuickB is the selected protocol ( shown in the status window. Go to the requester and change the buffer size from 16 kb to whatever you can afford memory wise. I set mine to 256 KB and since then I don't recieve timeouts anymore…unless the file is over 256 kb.
