I have a problem with my CD-ROM(s). One is a CHINON CDX-431. The other is a
NEC CDR-74. The problem is that I keep getting the CDR 101 error message. I
installed and reinstalled the drivers for each many times. Sometimes I can get
the CHINON to work but ONLY if I have the CD that I plan to use in the drive
when I boot. The NEC has never worked. I am using a Trantor T-130. I have two
SCSI drives on the adapter (one 1.2 gig and one 500 meg). Two floppies are also
on the card. The computer is a Gateway 2000 486/33 with overdrive chip making
it a 486/66. It is frustrating to load and reload the drivers (ADAPTEC ASPI
CD-ROM Module for DOS, ver 2.1). Any suggestions? ANY help greatly
appreciated.
