Amigas – The perfect machine to please everybody ain't been built yet.
If you want to to Dbase III/IV, Lotus, Wordperrfect stuff, get a PeeCee.
You want to do video, get an Amiga. The PeeCee architecture can never
measure upt to the Amiga in this arena 'cause it wasn't designed for Video.
Internal clock speeds are all wrong, there are not blitter facilities so
all that has to be added by additional hardware, which means that PeeCee
solutions will always be more expensive. And you still don't get
multi-tasking which is VERY useful in Video/Animation/Graphic arena.
BTW, the PeeCee toaster is a serial cable to an Amiga with some software to
run the switcher control panel from the PeeCee. I believe that software is
probably just an Arexx command generator. Either way, you will get the
Amiga, weather it says CBM or NewTek on the front, its an Amiga
2000/2500HD.
