Jack, Well, for a group of mutts, Americans have survived. In the recent genetic studies, we can all trace our roots back to Africa, Native Americans and Asians are close to Europeans. So Native Americans found their way to the Americas via Asia and the Europeans crossed an Ocean. From what I can gather though, Native Americans hardly raped the land in a way to be compared to the present activities. Sure, they tilled the soil until crop failure and moved on, but the soil lying fallow recovered. You don't see many farmers nowadays letting fields go fallow. I just don't see much evidence of damage done by Native Americans. Most immigrants came here for a better life and if that's nuts so be it. I guess the founding fathers were extremists because they distrusted government and resented paying taxes. I guess what you call losers came here because the society they were leaving branded them that, but they didn't call themselves that and here they didn't have to put up with that nonsense. Paul
