Jack, I wasn't as offended by the Nerd column as you–though I'm emphatically _not_ interested in seeing more Nautilus political columns. What got to me was the tired, tired, old position that the media was favoring one candidate over another. (I seem to remember a "60 Minutes" program with Hilary and Bill explaining something or other . . . .) To segue a little, did you take a look at the fine .avi clips of the Oakland hills fire? The audio is the best part, but some of the movies do a good job of documenting that scary situation.
