Don't know if you have looked at this one or that it meets all your needs. Take a look at View80. It will load ten files into its buffers. I'm not sure what you mean by expanding wildcards on the command line, but I have an idea of what you mean. Yup, just tried this view80 sys:textfiles/#?.txt and it loaded up all ten buffers and announced it could not load anymore files. Yes, it handles powerpacker files. Not sure about the memory thing though, give it a try, I think you'll like it. Chris
