Steve,
Let me disagree with you on this one.
You can put the ROM into the system and *still* copy kickstart to ram with
setcpu or the cpu command. So no loss there. You *must* have the 2.04
ROM in your A3000 if you want to use a 68040 board.
So, you have the advantages of being able to get 512k extra if you want
it, and when you don't want it. You have the advantage of being able to
put an accelerator in the system and you lose zero capability.
Well you do lose 1.3 🙂
