#Murder and 3DS
Gary,
To keep you updated: The Hood murder trial in Southern California in which
animation (3DS, of course) was used by BOTH the prosecution and defense ended
with a hung jury after SIX WEEKS of deliberations. (The trial itself went over
two months.) I assume the prosecution will re-file and a new trial will be
held.
I guess one way you could look at this is to assume that both the prosecution's
and my defense animation were so powerful that they served to paralyze the
jurors into mental stagnation and hence an inability to make a decision. (Just
a joke, folks).
Actually, I am working with some serious researchers who will be interviewing
the jurors on their reactions to the animation and the role it played in their
personal decisions. We will also be doing some other psychological research
into the effects of forensic animation.
