Sort of reminds me of front-wheel drive in a car… The manufacturers have gone to great lengths to convince the consumer that 'pulling' your car instead of 'pushing' it is the next best thing to sliced bread! In reality, of course, it's mostly a marketing ploy. Much like surface mount technology, it's easier/cheaper for the manufacturer but harder/ more expensive to work on if something screws up. At least the computer manufacturers pass along the savings to its customers… — a disgruntled consumer —
