Fellow Amigaists… and users of BAD… Mar 21, 1993 For several years, I've been an avid user of BAD by M. V. Micro, which is marketed by Centaur Software. It's been rock solid and bulletproof in both ability to copy disks and optimize simultaneously. In addition, it's ability to optimize hard disks has made it a valuable tool in keeping my hard drive in order. Recently, I upgraded my system to WB 2.1. When I tried to routinely optimize my hard drive last week… it finished the task with all kinds of check sum errors! I had to reformat my hard drive, and restore my files to solve the problem. Then, as I was making a backup copy of my WB 2.1 boot-disk, BAD failed with a software error! Obviously, this program is not WB 2.1 compatible… I called Centaur Software, who gave me the local BBS number for M.V. Micro. I left a report of this problem two weeks ago, and, so far, I've received no reply. I've also left voice messages on the answering machine for M.V. Micro… still no reply. Is anyone else having problems with BAD under the latest Workbench release? Any solutions? My system is an Amiga 2000, with GVP's HardcardII, a 33 mhz GVP accelerator, and a Maxtor 213 SCSI drive. Thanks for any clues…. J.T. McCollister
