In addition to Danny's comments, I've actually played around with the fire thing and I think I've got pretty realistic-looking fire. Again, in line with Dan's comments, remember these key points: – use the smoke ipas with red and yellow colours – apply an opacity map of a slow gradation from bright white (bottom) to black (top) — use AAPRO for this, you can experiment with the R-GRAD to get a "local" fire effect – use the rain ipas with chaos set to 100% and left-to-right set to 45 degrees, make sure you flip the rain upside down so the "sparks" are flying upwards (give that a red material) – apply the glow routine set with the BRIGHTNESS indicator off of 190 or something This produces VERY realistic fires. I must admit it didn't look too realistic until the glow routine was applied properly and then — WOW.. real fire! Give it a whirl.. — Steve, hope it helps
