Could a dirutil be *easily* written in CanDo? No. Could it be written? Yes. CanDo has builtin a good number of disk-related commands, and can always access the others via your regular system commands (ie. running them, etc). Most of a dirutil could be done this way, but I'd dread doing all the bells and whistles of one using it. One problem would be speed…. one is used to dirutils speeding up directory operations; CanDo would (I expect) be slower than one wished at this. There is a CanDo deck available called 'DirBrowser' that does exactly what it says. Allows you to browse your disks, and tells you what types of files things are. It would be a good starting point for someone interested in doing their own fancier dirutil.
