>> storyboarding
Nick,
Funny you should mention storyboarding. I've asked some "classically" trained
animators to give some talks at the 3DS User group regarding that very subject.
From the general "profile" of our user group member I think that any "classic"
approaches which can be introduced will improve animations tremendously ..
especially mine <g>.
>> not too hard of a sale
As Greg and I have repeated, this newsletter needs to bring us increased
business or its not worth doing. We are willing to provide what we hope is
helpful infomation .. but we are in the business of selling systems and
services. This is just one way in which we can demonstrate our commitment
excellent technical support and system integration as well as the education and
performance of our current and potential customers.
If you listen on this forum, you'll find that 3DS dealers get a lot of heat
.. and some of them rightfuly so. In general, 3DS is such a complex program
that unless you commit a lot of time to the program, your clients will very
soon be more compitent than you. It takes a lot of time and resourses keeping
up with both the program as well as the best products for our customers. In
order to be able to provide this, we must charge for it. This is one way of us
keeping in touch with our current customers as well as showing our future
customers that we are serious about support.
Who knows, if we keep it up … maybe the "dealer bashing light" won't be
turned on as often <g>.
