NEC 84J CD-ROM Problem
Thanks for Packrat information. I see they have a major new release (5.0)
out. Those guys really churn out the versions don't they. The few blibs I
have seen on it look good although it looks complicated to setup/learn.
I would be suprised if a mature product like Packrat did not let you
specifiy a specific installation directory path. They may default to being
under the Windows directory but I would have changed it if possible when I
installed it.
It is possible that your Windows directory may get corrupted someday and
unless you have a backup you will have to re-install Packrat when you do the
same for Windows. As I rule I tell people never to install under the Windows
directory and I move as much as possible (like fonts) out from that directory
to protect my Windows setup.
