Advice on CDROM
I'm thinking of buying a new CDROM for multimedia. I have an old Sony
internal, but it doesn't have audio and it has its own interface board – I'd
prefer SCSI.
I'm torn between buying a high performance device like the NEC external 84, or
whether to go for a multimedia bundle with some disks thrown in. Any comments
on the value of the bundles?
(I'm in a similar dilemma on the sound side – can't decide whether to go for a
high end board like Turtle Beach which sounds as though it would have great
MIDI capabiliy [but I probably wouldn't get round to using] versus getting a
regular games type card like Sound Blaster etc.)
