I have a Texel DM-3024(the one I think your referring to) connected to an
Adaptec 1542B SCSI controller and I love it. It's a 265ms double speed drive
w/300KB transfer rate.
As far as SCSI controllers and IDE drives go, if my memory serves me correct, a
SCSI controller can co-exist with an IDE controller but the IDE must be the
boot drive. Same goes for ESDI drives. SCSI is very deferential to other
controllers. My HD is a SCSI drive so I don't have that dilemma. Hope this
