Roger, thank you for your prompt reply!! I am sorry of having bothering you, but I solved the problem by now! I have changed my sound board (had a REALLY old SondBlaster, seems to be very slow!), this solved 90% of the troubles. Then I added a /n4 to ASPI4DOS.SYS to reduce bus on time and voila! Works very smooth now, I am so happy! Thank you for your encouraging always! In fact, ASW-500 was the soultion. BTW, it's not available over here, I am using a pre-release version which I have obtained somehow :-)! BTW, I am using QEMM, for it's better ability to load programs high, less overhead in convential memory, greater flexibility and last, but far not least, it's VDS capability! Give it a try, you'll love it! If you have any questions on QEMM, go ahead. I am a veteran user and almost an expert (would never call myself an expert, as humble as I am <g>). I wish you good luck with your network. To be frank, I have always avoided those Token Ring cards. Too much hassle at too high a price. As long as one does not need to connect to a IBM mainframe, what's the use? I love Ethernet! BTW, no network w/o QEMM. Should be esp. true with Token Ring, when I consider those numerous drivers one needs. Christian
