#cd recorders/software
Here in the Music Department of my University we recently purchased a high end
digital audio editing workstation (runs on a Mac) made by a company called
Sonic Solutions. They also sell a CD recorder and software that allows the
user to write a one-off audio CD onto their drive (a Sony, I believe). We
would like to investigate purchasing that system and expanding it so that we
could record one-offs of CD rom in both HFS and ISO 9600 formats as well. I
would be interested in knowing what software and hardware combinations any of
you out there are using that allow this kind of write once recording. Also,
does anyone know which CD plants will accept a write once CD as a master for
mass duplication instead of a Sony 1630 tape?
