Trident SVGA card

I have joined this thread a little late but I do have a Trident SVGA
(1meg) running inside my 2000 with 386/25BB. I had the same symptoms as
you with my first Trident i.e no output whatsoever, it turned out to be a
duff Trident card which I returned, the new one worked perfectly at the
first try. I got the impression that I was not the first person to get a
dead on arrival Trident, that particular dealer now tests everyone before
despatch.
