J. Roosth,
Well the drive is made by BSR, caddy based and runs at 380 millisecond. It
comes with the complete interface kit consisting of interface card, cables
software and manuals. Three free CD's and of course, the standard "buy from me
and purchase these other titles at a special private discount." The cost:
$399! I have no idea who or what BSR is. I know this many people: (
) who own a BSR product. I know these ROM's are selling because I called DAK
for more information and they said that they were out of stock, and if I wanted
to place an order, I'd be placed on a two month waiting list.
I have purchased phone equipment from DAK in the past, and have been completely
satisfied above and beyond.
I think speed is important regardless of my needs. When I bought my blazing
25MHz 386, I thought it was fast enough – till I worked on a 486 running at
66MHz.
Anyway, DAK's phone number is 1-800-325-0800. I highly recommend the 5000IRX
telephone. It holds 300 numbers in alphabetical order. And Drew Alan Kaplan,
if you're out there-I want a cut.
