PC to Mac Type 1?
I've got piles of public domain Type 1 and Truetype fonts for the PC.
I'd like to use them on my Mac. I've heard about programs such as
Fontographer, Metamorphosis, FontMonger, etc. I have a font-savvy,
Mac-savvy friend who has these, but he doesn't know the black magic
to get these programs to convert a PC .PFB / .AFM to a Mac font
suitcase. (The only font tool I have is Suitcase.) I brought him
these files on a PC disk, but he didn't know how to convert them.
Before I order piles of Mac software, I'd like to know if this is
possible, and maybe a few magic words so I can have my friend
demonstrate this process for me.
