Oh come on here. Give me a break David. Is that the best you can do?
Sheesh. What an obsure example. I mean really, what percentage of users
would have to worry about such a thing? Not many. Most machines only have
one hard drive, and if they have a decent version of DOS, then they can
have a huge drive as one partition. For those of us with more than one
drive, so what if you have to type D: to move to the other drive! If it
annoys you so much, write a batch file, it will take all of about 15
seconds.
Is this really worth nit-picking over. I think if you are judging
operating systems on that issue, well…nuff said.
I admit, I was all hot and heavy to purchase a video toaster, but man, a
DOS person begins to feel very unwelcome here.
I appreciate all of the help most of you have given me. You are generous
with your time and I thank you for that. I think you guys have THE machine
for Video Production. I am envious of you with toasters. But lets face
it, as most of us know, machines and operating systems excel at different
tasks. Lets not forget the DOS and the PC can do some pretty good stuff.
