When I look at large color displays for lots of bucks, two things come
quickly to mind: does it generate enough radiation to give me a good tan
and is it a good investment.
I have trouble paying hundreds of dollars for something cheap — if I'm
going to spend $800, I might as well spend a few hundred more for one with
high quality, etc.
That said, do you have a Mag monitor? If so, do you like it?
I'm looking hard at PC monitors. My power cord fell out of my hand just
as the elevator door closed, and the 1960 I used to have attached to my PC
is no more. I stole a 1950 from an Amiga for temporary use. I don't have
money to spare for a monitor, but I also have trouble justifying spending
$300 for a monitor I'm going to want to throw away — I might as well get
a real monitor.
