Gary, While I think that online docs are a good idea in general, I seem to only have a 20% success rate in finding out what I need to know with existing help systems in other programs I have. I think the best use of online help in 3ds would be a complete but simple explanation (a little more detail than the present 'alt' help) of every command and button and dialogue box, etc. and a COMPLETE index on every conceavable aspect of 3ds with specific page #s of the hardcopy manuals. This index should have all the normal search abilities, plus should be able to give you related topics as well. I think that will give users a quick way to find what they want, without having to search through the manuals because they already have the page #s of all related topics according to their seach parameters right in front of them. If a more detailed help system than that is implemented, it should be an optional installation. Also, I like the idea someone suggested about being able to have IPAS developers supply their own help text and have it be accesable from the normal 3ds help. And the existing docs? 9.5. David
