Uh Gary,
Not to take anything away from Soleri and his Arcosanti Foundation, but the
genius who really pioneered swept surface ferro-cemento construction was Pier
Luigi Nervi. Has was an Italian engineer who put many arhitects to shame with
his concrete designs.
Nervi is responsible for the roof design of St. Mary's Cathedral in San
Francisco. It's a pity Nervi didn't have 3DS.
