Paul,
I had the same problem – it's the fuse. Don't call Commodore Tech support;
they'll tell you that this is a known fault and requires a motherboard
swap. (I'm not joking) If you can't fix it yourself, and if your're in
London or the south east, there are a couple of companies that will do the
fix for you for around 35 pounds. Otherwise, just solder a piece of
fusewire across the the fuse pads.
