John, I know there's a DOS window but its not really a window! And its a joke! What I'm talking about is a window you can click on that has a C:\ prompt that you can type in etc. not one that shells out. And the tree structure of Windows is totally frustrating. While 3.1 is the first fairly stable version of Windows. As far as multi-tasking goes multi platform networked systems work much better as far as I'm concerned. I suppose you'd like to be able to have photo-styler and Fractal painter ole'd simultaneously. Yuck! Windows file manager is gross, but I won't belabor it. The more I work with Windows the less I like it. On the other hand DOS keeps getting better and better. I also find Windows a cluttered environment. I think I'm going to need a 35" monitor to do true multi-tasking. <g> -JE
