Stuart, I think CD-I will still have the advantage of the broadest base, especially when portables/handhelds are made available to the general public (Philips, Sony, Kyocera and Goldstar all make CD-i portables now for industrial use). One company in Japan now sells a CD-i based satellite navigation system for automobiles. It can also play interactive titles, of course. I believe Chrysler is considering making auto CD-i players an option. Some airlines are thinking about installing them at each passenger seat. With over 300,000 players and 3 million discs sold to end users (most in the past six months), I think CD-i will continue to grow in a much quieter but more long-lasting way than other, more news-making, systems. best – kev
