Apple doesn't release the list of registered creator and file types. There's a good reason: Developers may (and should) register creator and file types early during development. Apple doesn't have any way of knowing when the products associated with those types get released (or if they ever get released) so the list can't be given out because it contains confidential developer information (the name of unannounced products). If there were some way to go back in time to 1984, Apple would probably try to come up with a better method of tracking creator types. However, there are thousands of creator types registered, and Apple has no way to track down many of the companies (names have changed, addresses and phone numbers have changed, even product names have changed).
