There is a great program on the mac called DeBabelizer that will (among lots of
other things) convert a series of TGAs to Quicktime in your choice of 24/16/8
bits. You can also set it up to do batch manipulations of your files such as
rescale, rotate, adjust, translate. It will also create a user defined catalog
of files complete with file names and save the catalogs to a series of files.
It is marketed by Equilibrium out of Sausolito 415.332.4343.
If you need to convert on the PC side, I don't know.
