Only the simplest DOS program will run under NT. But that's understandable. DOS, Windows and OS/2 are the mess they are because they have to support "everything". OS/2 Started right but didn't get the right support. Even today, regardless how much they brag about having 3 million users, how many of those are using native OS/2 Applications? None as there aren't any. Every company that had tried the OS/2 marked pulled off. This is a tough thing to do and it will take time. DOS will stay around for quite some time. The upcoming Chicago/Windows 4 has its own DOS (they are undecided if they will ship a separate DOS 7 of just make the whole thing in one package). That's a half way compromise between past and future. On the other hand, have you noticed that everybody hates DOS, specially MacTrash people, but everybody tries to "emulate" x86 code in order to run DOS? Even in MacTrashes?
