David, >> I am currently developing some mathematical software >> and need a front-end graphical interface. I really don't want to spend the time developing >> one myself. >> >> How would I go about licensing a package already >> developed? Do all packages license some aspect of their >> design? Are there any discontinued packages that I could >> pursue or is it better to go with currently available >> software? What should I do???????????? I'm not sure what kind of front end you are talking about when you say a "CAD type of program." Do you need specific customized controls, esoteric services, etc., or are you trying to create a GUI and have it automatically maintained? The current version of Tools Plus 2.1 (in the "C & Pascal" libraries, file name is TPLUS2.SEA) lets you easily build a user interface, then it automatically does all the GUI and event maintenance for you. During Q2 94 we will be releasing version 2.5 that will include support for "picture buttons," a tool bar, and more controls. Tools Plus is easy to learn, and registered users can distribute applications written with Tools Plus royalty free. -Steve Makohin Water's Edge Software
