Mark: I had a similar problem. I wrote an AS application to drive through a folder full of MS Word docs, opening each one in turn and firing off a QK Sequence Shortcut in Word to save the file as text. Problem was that it "hung" in Word after the Save As… operation and never returned to my AS applicaion. I got around it by creating a Shortcut to choose my AppleScript application from the Application menu, and then inserted this Shortcut as the last one in the Save As… Sequence to "goose" my AS application into action. Seems awfully inelegant…but it works. Jeff Fischer The Fischer Group
