#Toaster 4000
I am currently toaster illeterate, but am preparing to purchase at NAB
a Toaster 4000 to link to my AVID 8000 on-line editing system. The
toaster will be used primarily for Toaster Paint graphics as the
titling on the AVID is not great ( only 6 fonts and very slow to
render). I also forsee using the lightwave 3D for some graphics.
We produce programs for ESPN2 and other cable networks and are
concerned with quality output. I understand there is a card from DPS
that will allow me to input and output componet video from my beta
decks rather than composite- has anyone used this? I also have been
reading a bit about the monitor controversy- can someone tell me
which monitors are a problem and why and which one are best?
Does anyone have experience with the nucleus single frame controller
for animating to a beta PVW 2800 deck? What's a toaster timer and do
I need one?
What other pitfalls should I be aware of or what else do I need to
purchase?
Thanks for any and all assistance.
