Compressing flics
I was wondering, is there any way to "quantize" a flic? You know, compare each
pixel in frame B with the coresponding pixel in frame A. If the
color-difference is within a certain threshold, make the pixel in frame B a
non-delta pixel–reducing the number deltas where the colors from one frame to
the next are very close (or not so close). Depending on the threshold you
could control quality verses size. It would greatly reduce the size of 3D
rendered flics that have "crawlys" and flics produced from video sources. Is
there a POCO that will do it, or some other way?
