Hi, Nathan– You and Lanny have given me more ammunition in case the opposition in rocks-and-fossils gets tougher, especially when it comes to giving a break to miners and commercial collectors. The quarry as a source of scientific info is a good image; I had spoken of how amateurs help scientists, but not how miners do – I should have known from the way they give us collectors a lot (even if we may have to wait until they abandon the mine). –Doug
