Hi, Lanny– If you run across any groups of geologists and/or collectors on other services like America On-Line, I would be interested to know of it. I like to collect info on all sorts of computer aids for rockhounds, so I can steer others toward what they want/need. I agree with almost everything you said, though I will remark I am not sure a sell-off of some public lands would necessarily be terrible for collectors. Bear in mind the collectors could gang up and buy many collecting sites. Alliances could be formed among many types of users of the lands to buy large quantities and keep them open for assorted uses. At least no one would be as easily able to pass laws to forbid collecting on the sold lands. –Doug
