Download Moned.lha, its in library 3 (Screen Utilities), it lets you
adjust the default settings in the monitor driver's icons so that you ccan
compensate for such problems as you described. I have an A1200 with a
1960 monitor, and was able to center my workbench screen as well as get
rid of the ugly black borders.
