Ted, That is indeed a commonly asked question, and you can thank Commodore for deciding not to include the Amigados manual with the machine. There are two ways to do it, one requiring that you know the disk name, and one more general. DIR Name: will load the DIR program from your boot disk and then ask that you insert the disk called "Name:" When you insert the disk, it will print out a directory of it. The more general form is…. DIR ? which will load the DIR command and then tell you what parameters it needs. If you now remove the boot disk and insert the diak you want to look at, then hit <return>, you will get a DIR of the disk you inserted. Quite handy for disks named "Bears with earflaps:" or some other longish name. Regards, Larry.
