Gus, the Matrox will work (albeit in 256 colors) in 3DS using the VESA mode.
The MGA II (only pci Matrox currently produces) has a fast VGA chipset, so
speed shouldn't be a real issue.
Vibrant is threatening to have driver support real soon…
